pENTR rtTA3
This part is an intermediate step in the process of producing the final expression vector. The part includes the coding sequence for rtTA3, a DOX-inducible transcription factor that regulates the Tet Response Element (TRE) promoter. Our team used other parts that make use of the TRE promoter so DOX induction could be used to control the activity of the promoter. More specifically, the TRE promoter was used upstream of our RBP gene sequences to control and reporter constructs, and changed the amount of produced depending on the amount of DOX used applied to the system.
